From a young immigrant to the American Dream, Alex overcomes his obstacles with perseverance and a lot of laughter. Despite Alex's underdog situation, he has always prevailed. From his tiring trials to become a citizen to fulfilling his dream of working in Major League Baseball. From his days at Note Dame to his days in Hollywood. Alex Montoya's success is directly credited to his will. And his determined will, as he will tell you, was a conscious choice. He has tracked his life toward excellence, and he hasn't stopped sprinting.
Dr. Alfonso Jiménez is in his 2ndyear as Superintendent of the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. TheDistrict serves 16,552 students from the cities of La Puente, Industry, and asmall area of West Covina as well as the Los Angeles County unincorporated communitiesof Hacienda Heights, West Puente Valley and Valinda. The District also serves14,000 students in the second largest adult education program in the state.Through his leadership, various programs continue to thrive such as C-STEM, NewPedagogies for Deep Learning (NPDL), fine arts, robotics, music, instructionalsupervision, and principal leadership. Leading the District through thepandemic, his focus has been on creating a positive culture and climate withall stakeholders to ensure student success!
